HINTS & TIPS

Where possible, we recommend that curtains, blinds & accessories are measured & installed by professional fitters. However, the following guide should help to simplify the process.

CURTAINS

Width: Measure the track (A) & not the window. The track should extend 15cm (6") beyond each side of your window enabling you to draw the curtains well back during the day. If a curtains overlap is required, add (B) plus (C) for the total track width.

Length: Choose the appropriate length from the following -
Sill length (D) , below sill (E) & floor length (F) . Curtains should finish 1.3cm (0.5") above the sill, 15cm (6") below the sill, or 2.5cm (1") from the floor.

Measure the point where you want the top of the curtain to be, down to the appropriate point. The length measurement must cover the total curtain length including the chosen heading type.

BLINDS

Inside Fixing: If the blind is to fit INSIDE the recess, measure the exact recess width (G) & drop (H) (check your measurement at several points, towards the top and bottom, and left to right of recess, and go with the smallest).

Outside Fixing:Measure the track width (I) & not the window width. We recommend the track should extend at least 10cm (4") each side of the window. The drop length measurement (J) should be from the top of the heading to the bottom of the blind when lowered.

Consider whether the cord pull is to be to the left or right of the window.
